Cardio Workout Reduces Health Problems

In the US, more than 30% of the adult population is affected by fatty liver diseases; fat is accumulated on the liver and it causes inflammation, scarring, and, in the worst cases, liver failure.

Doctors at Westmead Hospital at the University of Sydney reported that high-risk people — those with a high BMI (>30) and a sedentary lifestyle – can lower their risk factor significantly after conducting a cardiovascular workout, such as a brisk walk. Their BMI did not change much over the duration of the study; however, those people who lost their body weight without doing a cardio workout did not show a ignificant difference in their risk factor. The doctors at Westmead concluded, therefore, that doing a cardio workout is necessary to reduce the risk for fatty liver diseases.

We already know that doing cardio workouts lowers the risk of heart disease and diabetes. Now, we also know that it promotes health of the liver – so there is no excuse not to do your cardio workouts regularly.
